Scattered snow showers can be expected this morning along with westerly winds gusting to around 40 mph at times. Temperatures will continue to fall this morning, with readings dropping well below freezing.
Snow accumulations will be a half inch or less. This will result in some slick spots on untreated surfaces as well as bridges and overpasses. Please allow for some extra time to reach your destination this morning. Be prepared for changing road conditions as well as gusty winds.

An arctic cold front will move quickly east across the region through daybreak. This will usher in a much colder airmass with temperatures quickly falling below freezing.
Snow showers can be expected this morning with snow accumulations of a half inch or less possible. This will combine with the falling temperatures to produce slick spots on untreated roadways. In addition, brisk west winds will gust to 25 to 35 mph at times this morning.
The morning commute will be affected by these conditions. Please allow for some extra time to reach your destination. Be prepared for slick spots, especially on bridges an overpasses.

Oliver Elliott
Oliver J. Elliott, 81, of Wapakoneta, died at 9:05 a.m. March 6, 2007, at Auglaize Acres, Wapakoneta.
He was born July 18, 1925, in Auglaize County, to Carl A. Sr. and Mary L. McFarland Elliott. On Aug. 24, 1946, he married Mildred F. Olsen, who died Jan. 30, 2006.
Surviving are five sons, Dennis (Maryann), Columbus, John (Marcia), Spencerville, Carl (Beth), Fort Shawnee, Mike (Pam), Wapakoneta, and Pat (Paula), New Bremen; two daughters, Barbi (Dave) Gardner and Susan, all of Wapakoneta; a son-in-law, Jerry Price, Celina; 16 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a daughter, Cathy Price; two brothers, Carl Jr. and Benjamin; a sister, Mary M. Martin; and a grandson.
He worked as a truck driver for Wendell Stahler Trucking and Fisher Cheese Co. and was a U.S. Navy veteran, having served during World War II. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Post 1272 and Fraternal Order of the Eagles Aerie Post 691, all of Wapakoneta, and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3386, Airway Heights, Wash.
Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Saturday at the church, the Rev. Henry Albietz officiating. Burial is at Resthaven Memory Gardens, near Moulton, where military rites will be conducted by the VFW.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home, Wapakoneta.
