Scattered snow showers can be expected this morning along with westerly winds gusting to around 40 mph at times. Temperatures will continue to fall this morning, with readings dropping well below freezing.
Snow accumulations will be a half inch or less. This will result in some slick spots on untreated surfaces as well as bridges and overpasses. Please allow for some extra time to reach your destination this morning. Be prepared for changing road conditions as well as gusty winds.

Gideon Standiford

Gideon Standiford, 5-day-old son of Richard and Elizabeth Meyer Standiford, 520 W. Livingston St., Celina, died at 8:45 p.m. March 4, 2007, at his residence of natural causes.

He was born Feb. 27, 2007, at Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater.

Surviving are a brother, Kory, at home; grandparents, James and Joyce Meyer, and Richard Jr. and Linda, all of Celina; and great-grandparents, Norma Jean, Celina, Josie Severt, Rockford, Betty Meyer, Celina, and Stella Mangen, Coldwater.

Graveside services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater, the Rev. Steve Howell officiating.

Arrangements are by Cisco Funeral Home, Celina.
