* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

* IMPACTS...At 13.0 feet, State Route 117 near Route 118 north of Rockford is water-covered and closed.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Irene Berning
Irene E. Berning, 88, formerly of Botkins, died at 12:01 a.m. Feb. 11, 2007, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home, Minster.
She was born March 22, 1918, in New Bremen, to Edwin and Amanda Quellhorst Fark. On April 29, 1939, she married Henry H. Berning, who died March 21, 1990.
Survivors are three daughters, Jeannette (Dan) Jones, Piqua, Judy (Don) Seitz, Botkins, and Pat (Jim) Dietz, Chicago, Ill.; a sister, Susie Hirschfeld, New Bremen; eighteen grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a son, Gary; a daughter, Rosemary DeLong; a brother, Vernon Fark; three sisters, Edith McMillen, Lorma Scheer and Marjorie Weber; and a grandson.
She was a member of St. Peter's Church, New Bremen, and was a homemaker.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. Stephen Wills officiating. Burial to follow at Loramie Valley Cemetery, Botkins.
Calling is 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home, New Bremen, and 9:30-10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
