A dozen angry residents blasted Mercer County-Celina City health officials Wednesday for denying them sewage system permits in 2006, even though they met the state's deadline to apply.
Because of an overwhelming number of permit applications last fall, the county's two full-time sanitarians said they were forced to turn away residents more than a week before the Dec. 29 deadline, a timeframe established by the Ohio Department of Health (ODH). [More]

Snowy road conditions are being blamed for an accident Tuesday afternoon on state Route 29 in Shelby County that claimed the life of a New Bremen woman.
Cecilia Ann Hardee, 53, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Shelby County Coroner, after her car was struck nearly head-on by a semitrailer, east of the village of New Bremen at 5:45 p.m. [More]

harp for sale on eBay. I thought maybe I'd just buy one, I always wanted to learn to play. Then I saw the price and thought maybe I'd just make one," says Wood of Fort Recovery.
Before producing three beautiful handcrafted harps of various sizes, he did his homework. The self-employed artist visited a music shop in Bloomington, Ind., and leaned a $45,000 harp on his shoulder to get the feel. [More]
