Olga Wells
Former Botkins resident Olga C.E. Wells, 96, died at 1:45 p.m. Feb. 2, 2007, at the Fair Haven Shelby County Home near Sidney.
She was born May 9, 1910, in New Knoxville to Ernst H. and Anna Telljohn Eschmeyer. On Dec. 26, 1933, she married C. Homer Wells, who died July 17, 1979.
Survivors are two sons, Robert P. (Ruthann), Wapakoneta, and C. Edward (Judy), Anna; a daughter, Shirley (Dwight) Wilges, Sidney; eight grandchildren, three step grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are four brothers, Julius, Ray, Art and Richard Eschmeyer.
She was a 1931 graduate of Deaconess Hospital School of Nursing, Cincinnati, and was a homemaker. She was active in senior citizens groups in Sidney and Kettlersville and volunteered with FISH, Sidney. She was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ, Kettlersville, and its Women Guild.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church, Rev. Charles Moeller officiating. Burial will follow at Pearl Cemetery, Anna.
Calling is 4-7 p.m. Friday and 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home, New Bremen.
Contributions can be made to the church memorial fund.
