Skiing by Grand Lake

Retired teacher Cheryl Howard of St. Marys doesn't care for the slopes but is a big fan of cross-country skiing. On this first snow opportunity this winter, she glides along the East Bank of Grand Lake late Sunday afternoon. "It's great exercise," she said. "And easy on the knees."
