More than 5,000 turkeys perished Wednesday night when fire destroyed a large poultry barn along Huwer Road in Marion Township.
The 50-by-400-foot building, owned by Gerald "Jerry" and Pat Watercutter, 6254 Huwer Road, Maria Stein, was destroyed along with all contents.
