* WHEN...Until this afternoon.
* IMPACTS...At 13.0 feet, State Route 117 near Route 118 north of Rockford is water-covered and closed.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:40 AM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall slowly this afternoon, falling below flood stage later this evening. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Eldred Wellman
Eldred L. "Bud" Wellman, 83, of New Knoxville, died at 2:45 p.m. Sept. 30, 2006, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.
He was born June 9, 1923, near New Knoxville, to Conrad and Alvina Holtkamp Wellman. On May 4, 1946, he married Myra A. Ruese, who died June 3, 1997.
Survivors are a son, Lee (Jan), New Knoxville, and a grandson.
Deceased are a brother, Robert Wellman, and a brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Louise Wellman.
He was retired from farming and was formerly a bus driver for New Knoxville Local Schools. He was a member of the First United Church of Christ, New Knoxville, and was a former deacon and trustee of the church. He also was a retired member of the New Knoxville/Washington Township Fire Dept., following 25 years of service. He was a former member of the Moulton Gun Club.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Revs. David Williams and Bruce Head officiating. Burial is at Pilger Ruhe Cemetery, New Knoxville.
Calling is 3-8 p.m. Tuesday at Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home, New Bremen, and after 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
