Cletus Griesdorn
Cletus J. Griesdorn, 78, 7475 state Route 119, Maria Stein, died July 20, 2006, at his residence.
He was born Oct. 23, 1927, in St. Rose, to Julius and Philomena Fiely Griesdorn. On April 14, 1951, he married Marguerite Bettinger, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, China (Rita), St. Rose, and Craig (Diane), New Bremen; three daughters, Treva (Herb) Fortkamp, St. Rose, Mary Ann (Clete) Grieshop, Minster, and Nancy (Jerry) Wenzke, Oakwood; two brothers, Luke, St. Sebastian, and Mark (Margie), Cassella; a sister, Thelma Barber, St. Henry; a sister-in-law, Mildred, Coldwater; and seven grandchildren.
Deceased are a brother, Ralph; two brothers-in-law, Harry Barber and William Gross; and a sister-in-law, Katherine.
He worked a combined 46 years for Streacker Implement and Metzger Brothers, Minster. He was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church, its men's Holy Name Society and the cemetery board. He was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 2347, Versailles, and Knights of Columbus Council 1991, Coldwater. He coached St. Rose Little League baseball for more than 20 years.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church, the Rev. Kenneth Schroeder officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Sunday and 9-9:45 a.m. Monday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater.
