Notice is hereby given that Mile Creek Joint Board of County Commissioners will receive sealed bids for herbicidal spraying of the Mile Creek permanent open ditch under jurisdiction of the Joint Board of County Commissioners. Bids will be received and opened at 10:00 a.m. on February 17, 2026, at the Mercer County Commissioners' Office in the Central Services Building, 220 West Livingston Street, Room A201, Celina, OH 45822.
Listed below are the specifications for said herbicidal application. Bids are to be submitted as a lump sum price of one application.
The Mile Creek Joint Board of County Commissioners hereby reserve the right to accept, or reject any or all bids, or any part thereof and also reserve the right to waive any, or all irregularities in bidding.

Specifications
The contractor is to be approved and licensed by the Ohio Department of Agriculture and shall be responsible for all damages to adjacent crops or claims outside the limits of the ditch banks and easement area. The contractor is limited to the open ditch as a working area. The contractor is also responsible for any part of the right-of-way along the ditch that has been seeded and mulched. The contractor and surety shall save harmless The Joint Board from all suits, actions, claims of any character brought on account of any injuries, or damages sustained by any person or property as a consequence of any neglect in safeguarding the work or through the use of unacceptable materials in the spraying of the Mile Creek, or on account of any act or omission by the contractor or his agents.
The herbicide to use shall be GARLON 3A. Any other material used shall be approved by the County Engineer prior to application.
A 95% kill of woody plants and broadleaf weeds is required or the contractor shall respray uncontrolled areas at his own costs until the 95% rate is obtained.
Payments shall be made within thirty (30) days after completing the spraying.
Completion date shall be June 12, 2026.
No bidder may withdraw a bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof except as provided in section 9.31 of the Ohio Revised Code.

The Village of Coldwater will receive sealed bids for the Second Street 250,000 Gallon Tower Interior Coating Improvements project.
