| Law enforcement officers talk near the scene of a shooting Sunday afternoon northeast of Burkettsville. Mercer County Sheriff's Deputy Doug Timmerman shot Ricky Driskill, 27, of Columbus, who lunged at him with a construction knife. The victim remains under guard at Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater, while the deputy is on paid administrative leave during a subsequent investigation.
