“Lei on the donations for 
                  Brittani” day was held Nov. 19 at Fort Recovery Elementary/Middle 
                  School. 
                  It was Hawaiian day throughout the school in honor of 7th grader 
                  Brittani Young, who is battling cancer and will undergo a bone 
                  marrow transplant in January. 
                  A total of $1,920.39 was donated to the Young family from the 
                  benefit project. 
                  The Middle School Student Council sponsored the day and events 
                  of the week. The Student Councils sold leis to all students 
                  in the building. 
                  The Middle School held a limbo contest with winners being, Ethan 
                  Schoenherr, grade six; Ali Schmitt, grade 7; Stephanie Will, 
                  grade 7; and Ben Tobe, grade 8. The limbo winners and finalists 
                  received food coupons from Big Al’s in Fort Recovery. 
                  In the evening, the Student Council held a dance for the Fort 
                  Recovery seventh- and eighth-graders. Ryan Steinburnner donated 
                  his time as disc jockey and all concession monies were donated 
                  to the project. 
                  A raffle was conducted by the Student Council with items donated 
                  by area businesses and individuals. The raffle winners, their 
                  prize and donor, were:
