| 07-21-03: Celina boy missing for days |

The parents of a Celina teen-ager hope someone knows his whereabouts or
has information that could result in his safe return home.
Kevin Dennis, 13, the son of Kenneth and Tammy Dennis, 126 Hamilton
St., apparently disappeared from the Dennis home sometime Wednesday night or early
Thursday morning.
"He's basically a good kid who has never done anything like this
before," Tammy Dennis told The Daily Standard this morning.
The youth had been "grounded" due to a previous curfew violation. He
reportedly asked Wednesday night whether the grounding could be lifted for the Immaculate
Conception parish festival. When told the punishment would continue but he could attend as
part of a family outing, the boy reportedly went to bed.
Tammy Dennis, who works third shift at an area business, returned home
shortly after 7 a.m. Thursday to find him gone. He apparently took no belongings with him.
Checks with the seventh-grader's friends and acquaintances turned up no
leads. The boy also failed to appear at the swimming pool, reportedly a favorite hangout,
or at the weekend festival.
Kevin Dennis stands 5 feet 10 inches and weighs 135 pounds. He has
brown hair and hazel eyes. The parents have no description of what he might be wearing.
"We just want him to come home and, at this point, we just don't
know what to do," the worried mother said.
